Did you try some WD-40? Sometimes if you spray that on there and let it sit, it helps.

yea i tried...only let it sit for 30mins though....im gonna let it sit over night and try...you dont understand how rusted in there the pin is though....its so bad that the boot was rock solid and i had to peel it away and now the pin is like half the diameter it should be because of all the rust that fell out of the boot

Is the caliper off the car? If not it will probably be easier if you take it off and put it in a vise and beat it out. Check with your local Auto parts store the pins are usually a stocked item.

I had one lock up that bad. I couldn't beat it loose with a hammer. I went to Autozone and bought a new bracket.

+1 on buying a new bracket. That would be the easiest. The last time this happened to me I had to use a torch to get it out. Then, needless to say, I had to repalce the pin.

Exact same thing happened to me on both rear caliper mounts. It takes a lot of heat from and penetrating oil to get it out. I used an oxy-acetylene torch and ended up getting a small hole in the bracket because it takes a ton of heat to break it loose. Put it in a vice, use a hammer and it will come out.

I used some vice grips, with a really good bite, and hit the vice grips in the jaws with an air hammer.

But if you dont have air tools, a bigger pair of vice grips and a torch are goin to have to do it..
