Default chatter, chatter, chatter

Hello all, this isnt my first post because I had to change my e-mail, anyway...</P>

I have recently been experienceing some noises from my T-3650. It became more apparent after installing a tri-ax. I am hearing chattering relative to braking pressure and speed. Say I throw it out of gear and thenrelease orpress in onthe clutch it doesn't matter then I brake hard from say 50mph. The harder I brake, the louder and faster I hear and feel the chat, chat, chat. If I keep it in gearand brakeas hardas neededthere is no chatter. It only does this at a high to mid deceleration rate, aboveabout 30mph,with the gear box in neutral.</P>

Is this a common problem or not. I would have asked my friend for advise but he has an auto. Any ideas?? Thanks</P><edited><editID>O1stang</editID><editDate>37923.9809027778</editDate></edited>

Sounds like normal transmission noise to me. With the tri-ax you don't have the sound dampeners like the stock shifter has on it and you will get more transmission noise passed into the passenger compartment. Is it shifting poorly? Is the fluid level normal?</P>

Mine makes a little noise, especially the faster I go and its pretty similar to the sound your describing.</P>

I had the same sound with my Tri Ax. Make sure the four bolts that hold the base of the shifter secure to the tranny did not work themselves loose.<edited><editID>Sean</editID><editDate>37923.9799537037</editDate></edited>
