Default Richmond Gear Help?

Alright...Got a GT...the car has the 3:73 Richmond gears in it....it is whining horribly between 45-55 mph. I was was wondering if the whining was from them being improperly installed, or if they are just cheap gears and should be replaced with Ford Racing...

FRP, but you're looking at around a $600 charge for gears installed.

I have Richmond gears and mine weren't straight cut. From what I understand they tend make noise because they are made from a slightly harder alloy than the stock gears.
