Yeah, it was close to shot already. Riding the clutch at around 3k RPMS won't hurt it that bad, even if you start to smell it.

If you get an aftermarket clutch get the firewall adjuster, the quadrant isn't exactly necessary but doesn't hurt.

Don't feel too bad I went through 3 clutches in 3 years.

Don't give em to much crap like a few of the other guys said be glad he doesn't see it as a waste. Maybe he'll feel obligated to help pay for a new one eventually? Bright side to every rainy day

Yeah, like most are saying, your clutch was probably on the way out anyway and this was just what it took to accentuate the wear! As far as the smoke "pouring" out from under the hood, maybe a little puff, but nothing too ridiculous.

Do yourself a favor when you do decide to replace your clutch, replace it with a STOCK one. Too many people over clutch their cars, then if something happens, instead of the clutch slipping like it should, they wind up replacing a transmission. Unless you're making 500+ HP, STOCK is all you need.

Spec Stage 3's with the pucks feel just like stock. Go three's or get a Ram clutch and change it out every year.
