98 gt intake manifold...with a

Hi everyone,

I have a crack in my intake manifold. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement one that is not plastic? I have looked everywhere, like Edelbrock, Ebay, etc. Why did ford put a plastic intake manifold on a mustang anyway? That is the stupidest thing I have ever seen.

Someone please help me!

This was an issue Ford had made a Recall for. Have you talked with your local Ford dealer to see if you could get a free replacement?

I went to the Ford website and put in my vin number and it said I did not have any recalls. I was planning on calling the dealership tomorrow.

There was a TSB for the 96-97 with cracked intakes. Even though the 98 uses the same intake it wasn't included. I don't know what year you've got but Ford won't replace a 96 for free anymore. The 7 yearsit was covered for just ended. If your'e looking for an aftermarket intake you can expect to pay over $1000 for it. If you're lookin for an OEMplastic replacement PM me. I've got one.
