Default Deleting my AC compressor

My AC got accidently discharged by my longtubes (via a huge hole burned in the suction line) about a little over a year ago. It would be too expensive to get the new components so I was wondering if anyone knows if I can throw a smaller belt on or if anyone knows of a delet pulley?

I bought a bypass pulley back near the middle/end of summer and it's still working fine.

I can't remember where I ordered it from, hell, it might have just been from Autozone.

If the compressor is already discharged, then it should take you 30 minutes total. Just tape up the electrical connection to keep it dry/protected.

that looks just like mine..

Other than the weight savings if you were to replace the compressor with an idle pulley there wil be no benefit. When the compressor clutch is not energised the AC pulley is an idle wheel.

I had a HORRIBLE squeel coming from the compressor pulley itself, so it had to go since I didnt have the time/cash to fix or replace the parts.

Plus, living in indiana, I figured theres no MUST have need to A/C....that was until a week later when it was about 90 out, and it rained all day....i was in work clothes... SOAKED in sweat before my 8 minute drive was over.. .lol
