Default How to..

How do I tighten my brake calipers? They are loose. Is there a bolt or anything else? The rattle is really annoying. I put my car on some ramps that I have and felt around the area and the culprit are those calipers. Help please...Thanks

What brakes do you have?

If its cobras that its normally the chatter clips (or sometimes lack of) that's causing the problem.

My car is a 01 Bullitt so I have Cobra brakes...chatter clips? Do those hold down the caliper.

The cobra caliper its self its not bolted in. The caliper slides into place and a banjo bolt ( I think that's that its called) slides into place with a clip on the end to stop it from coming out.

The caliper also has chatter clips that apply pressure to stop the caliper from clattering (or rattling) its late and this is a bad explanation, I hope the picture i have helps more

sorry about the pink (I could not make red work) but here is a pic
