FT shocks on 96GT Conv, how hard to change?

Default FT shocks on 96GT Conv, how hard to change?

i think i need to replace the front shocks on my sons 96 GT convertible and wondered if its pretty much like any other job?

Plug and play, very easy.. can actually be kinda fun. Make sure you got another guy to help ya out though getting the strut through the tower.

from what ive heard its not easy but idk ive never done it. i want to put lowering springs and new struts and shocks but im scared to do it myself

its is easy. but once you have the strut and spring assembly out. your going to need a spring compressor to install the new struts. You might be able to take it to a idependent shop and have them swap in the new struts for a few bucks.

From this post, I'm going to deduct the fact that you have never done this yourself.

For the original poster, it's very simple to do. Shouldn't take more than an hour per side, and that's with no prior experience.

I have no idea why i posted that i was thinking 05 and up suspension.
It is a straight forward swap. just make sure you support the lower control arm before you unbolt anything. this is to keep the tension on the spring. And you should be good to go.
