Default Small Block Ford In a New Edge

Ok, first off I don't need to hear from all the 5.0 haters out there. I just want to know if anyone has or knows someone who has put a small block ford in a new edge SN95 Mustang.

I have an 2000 GT and would like to install a 347 or 406 with fuel injection. My gut says since the first SN95's in 94-95 came with a 5.0, the swap should be straight forward. I am concerned about the wiring and computer. Will a computer and harness out of a 94-95 5.0 car work in a new edge car? What other items will work from a 5.0 car, i.e accessory drives, bell housing, etc.....

Yes the 94-95 would be more straight forward except if you want to stay F/I then you'll need to find a way to adjust for the CPS and a few other things. If you're talking about using a 99+ car then the gauges will have to be pulled out and converted to aftermarket because the cluster wont work with a pre99 ECU. There's dozens of things to change, I'm not hating on the idea of a pushrod but if you want with fuel injection then you're in for a world of hurt.

I would do a 351 if you have the option. Same motor mounts as the 302, as said above the gauges wont work and you need a new k-member.

I know a guy with a 99 / 351w. It's real fast.. basically a stroker bottom end with h/c/i and nitrous.

^ actually the 4.6 is considered a modular engine, SBF is in a completely different family.

anyways I stand by 351 statement earlier.

I'm pretty sure that the only reason it's called a Modular is because of the Plants in which they are assembled. But yeah, they are a totally different engine family.

It's Just like the 94-98 being called a SN95 even though, 94-04 are SN95, the name just stuck.

I'm used to being wrong lately, so feel free to correct me.

Im not correcting, but its called a modular motor because each section is a "module" sub-assembly... Each section of the motor has its own name or w/e
