thanx defconfire and hpwrestler

im out in ontario and i have bin looking at alot of mustangs, i have come across alot of gts and few cobras and mach 1s. The prices of the V4's are a bit out of my price range, there going for 16-20+
The gts with v8s are goin anywhere from 9-16.
So the v8s are a bit rough on gas?

mod bug- it's just a term we use when you start modifying your car and can't stop... it is an addiction!!

as for gas mileage, in my 2004 automatic trans GT i get about 15-18mpg around the city and on the highway i can get about 22-27mpg.

that's with aftermarket exhaust, intake and a programmer.

all of my buddies just bought tuners, little ricers i decided im going to save until next octobre and buy a stang. ive liked them since i was in grade 8. Never looked into buying one until this year. I figure by next octobre i will beable to afford one and im just worried about the gas. i honestly cant wait tho. haha my first year with it i dont think i will touch the engine. im thinking about throwing some nice 22s on it aha. but that might throw it off. which performace exhaust system has the best effect.
does anyone know what a stock 2000-04 gt v8 does on a 1/4?

hope ur kiddin about the 22's. most exhaust perform about the same. slp, borla, and magnaflow have some of the best exhausts. if you want the classic mustang sound go flows. stock 99-04's run around 14 second 1/4 miles.
