Don't even waste your time getting a v-6......
The V6's are good cars, but they are poorly supported in the aftermarket. If there was more potential they would be a decent investment, but having owned an SN95 V6 (split port, 2002), I can say that moving to the GT was a much appreciated investment...

I loved both cars. Only thing I miss about my V6 was it not having ABS, but having seen both sides of the affair in nebraska, I'm quite happy with my TCS enabled daily driver. =)

Not sure, but I want to say that 22's are bigger than are tires are at the stock radius... without the tire. So first off, you'd gain some top speed (if the added weight and loss of torque didn't take it right back away from you), but your acceleration would go down the toilet. You'd start losing to V6 mustangs right off the bat. There's a large assortment of great looking rims that are in comfortable sizes for the mustang, I myself, have the black 17x9 termies. Nobody ever fails to complement me on my car, or my rims for that matter. With 22's, you'd get funny looks, and you'd deserve them.

The mod bug--performance enhancement addiction--does not always significantly reduce gas mileage. I got 23 mpg driving mostly highway with some city before I started modding my car. I went from approximately 230 rwhp to 370 rwhp (a 61% gain in horsepower) and I still get 22 mpg.

Please don't put anything bigger than 18s on a New Edge. It reduces performance and looks plain silly.

Yep. The models with the sharper edges are the new edge models, the ones that are smoother are the SN95's (so are new edges, but SN95's are just SN95's unless they're an SN95 new edge, if that makes sense).

I have 20's on my car and the fit fine. They are TASCA racing rims with performance tires on them. The car does not look silly and the acceleration and top end have not gone down. The rims and tires are the same height and weigh less than the stock gt rims. So I guess it depends on how much research you do.

I don't know if they changed this at some point but most years v6 doesn't have limited slip differential. And yeah fuel mileage is about the same. If you find a mach 1 go for it but unless you're racing the gt feels a lot faster than it is!

+1 I still get 23-24 on the highway.
