Default spark advance using the Diablosport

how do you advance it. set it to 10 for each PRM label it asks for? like i think its 1-4K and then 4-7K. thats what i did just turned it up all the way but im not sure if thats right. thanks.

I believe that is what you do, but I've read you should advance it slowly, like +2 every other day and listen for detonation.

What does it set it at once it's all the way up? I wouldn't put a lot of timing in it since there is no knock sensor on these motors. Pay a local shop $100 and get it done professionally, it's better to spend $100 then $3k on a new motor.

I've got mine turned up quite a few clicks but not all the way. We only have 91 octane around here. Do you notice a gain on the dyno or in the pants with it turned up all the way? Any pinging? I concur that my '02 GT does NOT have knock sensors for sure.

No 2v has knock sensors, only the 4v.

i would leave it alone if i were you i have played with my timing and i cant tell a difference if its at 0 or 10%. If you decide to bump the timing without a dyno you had better give a few percent of richness to it then you may be hurting performance with that.so my advice would to be leave the tune alone. you could be detonating and not know it.taking a risk on that motor could get expensive.

i have my timing set to 10 for both sections on the predator and only run 91 octane, i havent heard it knock or ping at all. I suppose im taking a risk if i get a bad tank of gas but i always keep the predator under the seat. Does anyone know what the timing is set to when the predator is maxed out? i have seen 31 on the predator diagnostics screen during WOT.

i have noticed during datalogging my timing really flucuates, but during wot my timing drops to about 14 or 15 until my aod shifts back up, at idle its about 18, but its not a base. no body is real sure what the timing is except diablo. Diablo told me the timing should drop to around that during wot or high rpms situations.seems to be backwards to me but thats what they say.
