Default 300 rwhp hp unported heads?

i was just wondering how many people here had full bolt ons with stage 2 cams and unported heads and are making the 300rwhp mark, it seems the hitech cams do the job, but dont really lope has much as i would like...so does anyone else here have a different setup that lope real good and a vid (if you can) would be great!

i dont know if 300rwhp is possible without porting the heads. There probably the biggest obstacle in making power for the 4.6L. But I might be wrong ive been out of the car mod game for a while. If you could hit 300rwhp w/o ported heads youd have to run crazy stage 3 cams with everything in your heads upgraded and higher compression and your heads would be holding you back a ton.

you should be able to be right around the 300 mark with full bolt ons, stage 2's, and an amazing tune.

someone correct me if im wrong.

i hear CMS stage 2's are very good

I have unported heads and shortie headers and I'm only a few ponies away from it, maybe even at it with the colder weather. I'm sure its doable but why worry about the horsepower when 1/4 times speak for themselves.

Lol not even 300rwhp with full bolt on's and cams, that is a seriously depressing fact. Wouldn't it be cheaper to just do a 4V swap? What do you bascially need for it? just heads, intake manifold, and throttle body right? And a tune obviously

The 4v swap is considerably harder and more expensive. Some of the parts have gone extinct...

You would be so close to the mark you would not even know the difference. Hot weather no, cold weather maybe yes.
