If it makes you feel better......

I park my car in the corner of the parking garage, last week somebody backed into my car and scrapped the crap out of the front bumper.

The only thing I know is it was either a silver or white car, no note, no nothing.

touch up paint will get you close but will NEVER match. theres NO WAY to match paint thats more than a couple of months old since every color will fade when left in the sun. if you want it to look good up close too go to a body shop and they will fix it and blend the door so you wont be able to see a whiter line on white paint.

here is a little trick, if you can take and hang your finger nail in the scratch, then it really is too deep to buff and polish out, it may make it look less noticible though. You really need to just touch it up or have a body shop fix it. You also can call ford and see if they don't have the touchup if you are unsure about which to get or if auto zone just doesn't have it.

A horror story:
We had a 00 GT that was a deep three stage red, this car was beautiful. Low and behold he pissed someone off and what did they do? They took a key to the whole car, they didn't miss a panel. Then they got in a ripped his leather seats open like it was a christmas present. so about $5k later, we had back to brand new. I just hate people that go after cars to get revenge. Do they not have enough cajones to just beat the tar outta someone anymore?

I wonder wtf is up with my car then?

Seriously though, when I checked the paint codes on duplicolors website, they had this booklet in a PDF file containing all the paint codes ford used that year. The ONLY white used was "oxford white". There was like no crystal white listed though. It had like 6 different paint codes with oxford white. There was no ZR listed.

But yeah, I contacted ford about this and the number they gave me to call was closed. I'm keeping my stang in the garage for now.

I think my car is unique LOL!

well duplicolor's site has it wrong then. The only white color for the 2000 models is Crystal White (ZR)

man that sucks i know how you feel, one of my buddies said my car got keyed one day at school, and there was one kid i had in mind that said something to somebody about messing with my car, so i just walked up to him and layed him out got suspended and had to go to community service and everything, just to find out my friend was joking. but when i was on vacation for a week i left my car in the driveway and when i got back there were scratches on the side where a dog had jumped up and scratched it with his paws almost put me on my knees.

I already had to repaint the whole hood one time because a cat got on it and scratched the whole thing up. There wasnt a spot missed, like everything was pretty much SANDED off by his nails LOL. This is while I had my car in my garage but I left the door open. And thats when something like that has to happen!
