Car is running rich?
Ok just got a 96 gt. i am getting a (car is running rich) fault coad. It has a offroad h pipe no cats.. o2 sensors are in it though.. i kinda think this is the problem. I did however replace the fuel filter, ran some injector cleaner through the tank, replaced plugs, cleaned the maf, and cleaned the 02's.. Will not running the cats cause this??? If so where can i get bypas sims...
Thanks,
Chase

Yup! You need MIL eliminators. I think they are like $60 from Americanmuscle.com. Or you could get a programmer and turn them off. just be sure you talk to some-one to make sure that the programmer you are looking to buy has that option.

now i have another question. I ordered some mils and they should be here thursday. I have put these on some other trucks i have had and they always go on the two o2's after the cat. But i was reading on one of the posts and some one said they go on the ones before the cats????? Is that right??

You can make your own MIL eliminators for $5 or so--click here...
If you don't mind my asking, where did you find MIL eliminators for sale--most of the major vendors no longet carry them due to legal pressure. If it was from Mountain Mods, then the last I knew their installation instructions were full of crap--and had you installing their single component (a 3A rectifier) "eliminator" in the +12V heater wire to the sensor.
Their unit can work, if properly installed...

Not sure. MIL's will do zero for fixing any type of running rich problem though. They simply eliminate the CEL due to not having cats. Maybe your front O2's need replaced?? I suppose a faulty O2 could cause an engine to run rich.

They didn't have them in stock for a long time, waiting for the heat to die down I guess... $50 for the "splice-in" units is absurd, in bulk there's < $3 worth of stuff in 'em--if anyone is going to buy them get the plug 'n play model, the connectors are worth $3.50 each in quantity...
