Default Lights Pulsating

Hey guys, I have a 00 GT with 69k miles and it. I'm having an electrical issue where all my cluster lights and exterior lights keep pulsating. I took out my alt and had the alt and regulator check and they both are fine. The serp belt has plently of tension on it too. I cleaned the battery terminals up to be spotless and it didn't seem to change anything. The volt meter is constantly up about 3/4 of the way up to the H.

any suggestions? thanks!!

Diode trio could be going out on the alternator. A bench test wouldn't necesarily catch a failing alternator that's intermitent.

Does it only do it when the head lights are on? (Turn on just the interior lights to check)
Does it only do it on high RPMS or idle?
AC on or off?

Could be the contact in the switch itself that is going out. Does it happen on smooth roads or does it only happen on rough bumpy roads?

This Happened to me at Idle. I took my alternator to autozone to have it tested, and it checked out ok. So being stubborn I replaced it anyways and it worked fine after that.

It does it at all rpms including idle, and the pulsating seems to be at the same pace no matter what rpms or gear its in. Happens with lights on and off...ac doesn't have an effect on it either.

The volt meter on the dash moves up slightly when I turn on the headlights.

Thanks for all of your input guys, I hope I can get away without replacing the alt, the owner before me replaced it just recently (don't have the receipt) and after calling around the best price I found was 215

i had the exact same problem with my car, i checked the alt. just like you and just about everything else imagineable. i eventually took it to a place that just deals with electrical systems in cars, and it turned out to be a floating ground. but yeah my headlight and all the lights inside the car would flicker.........very annoying!
