Default TIMING CHAIN NITEMARE, HELP!!!

OK, just finished strapping the pi heads to my block, put on the gears and chains, not sure about how i timed it, i laid both chains down and squared the ends, then i marked each end, then i put one marked end on the cam gear dimpple, and the other on the crank gear mark and rotated slightly to take up the slack, did the same for the other side, thats the best i can describe it , does it sound rite, im using a haynes manual so its not to clear about putting on new heads, any info or tips would help

Check your PM and time that moto correcty. Dont try to start it at all unless you are 100 percent sure the pistons are not hiting the valves. Go throgh those steps are send you.

Check out my article at the top of the page... Your post doesn't sound right... I put the Keyway at the 12oclock position BEFORE taking the chains off..
