Default Oh, do I have a good one for you!

When my 99 mustang gt warms up to operating temperature, for the last four mornings (moderately cold, 30-40f) my battery light came on, and then shut off after about 30 seconds, sometimes blinking once before it does.

This has happened during acceleration from a stop, and during normal cruise. All occasions I didn't have any accessories running, and my stereo w/ a 400 watt subwoofer was barely turned up. This has stumped me. I'm going to check the battery with a voltmeter tomorrow and also potential belt slippage. Any other opinions or experience would be appreciated.

***Update***

Battery AND alternator both checked out good. No changes have been made in the electrical system in ages. Today the light came on twice in a 10 minute drive after it was warmed to operating temperature.
