Satellite antenna placement...?

Satellite antenna placement...?
I've been looking for a good spot to put my Sirius antenna ever since I got the car, but no such luck. I've all around "inside" the trunk, and on the underside of the trunk lid, but finally gave up and put it in the rear window, and I don't always get good reception there, but better than in the trunk. I don't want to put it on the roof or anything, just thought I'd see where some other people have mounted theirs...

RE: Satellite antenna placement...?
I had mine mounted in the middle of the trunk as close to the back window as I could get it, I have no problems with reception at all!!! It is really small and out of the way there. That is where I wouls suggest that you put it.

RE: Satellite antenna placement...?
I may have to do that. I was hoping to find a concealed place for it. I had it mounted to the top of the cab in my F150, but it was tall enough no one really saw it, plus the truck was black. There were several guys mounting them under the cowl trim plastic. I looked last night, and the Mustang cowl trim piece doesn't appear to remove as easily... Does anyone know what the small bulge on the driver's side of the cowl trim piece is for? There is also an apparently removeble piece of plastic at the top of the firewall on the driver's side that looks like it would give access to this area. Anyone familiar with it?
I've got the old (big) antenna. I may just have to get the new (small) antenna and adapter and mount it outside somewhere...
