Default Need help reducing tire spin

You can see my motor swap and my mods in my sig and my problem i think is going to be launching. I have 245/ 45 by 17 tires and when i only had like 250 260 hp to the crank i would spin when i launched at anywhere between 2000 and 2500. Im pretty sure when im over 330 to the crank there going to spin. Besides getting stickier tires what else could i do to help me launch without spinning. I was looking at upper and lower control arms. Would they help? The reason im not doing tires right now is because i just spent all that money on the motor swap and tires and rims are pretty expensive. So basically im looking to beef up my suspesion so i can launch better. Thanks

I might be on my own here, but dollar for dollar, I think tires would help you the most.

When I first bought my Mustang (used) the guy had a set of bald DR on the car. I could barely get the tires to spin. When I replaced them, I went cheap. I put a pair of cheap tires on the car and I can sneeze and the tires spin. Needless to say, I'm now looking at replacing the tires because of wheel spin and they barely have any miles on my cheap-o fix.

Oh, also up your tire size. I think you can jump to 275 on that rim without having to replace anything.

I have six rims for my car. Four 17X8 and two 17X10.5

The original set-up was 245 on the front and 275 on the rear with the 17X8 rims.

Currently I run 245 on the 17X8 in the front, and 315 on the 17X10.5 in the rear.

I bought cheap tires for the 315's and they spin all the time, I now wish I spent more $$ on better tires.

Search some old posts, you'll see that some people put even larger than 275 on a 17X8 rim. The way the tires look and fit on the rim, I personally would not recommend it, but that's just my .02 cents

Lower control arms will help some with the spin, as will stickier tires. You can up the size to a 275 on the stock 17x8"s, and Nittos tend to run a little narrow so you'll be good.

Upper and lower control arms + subframe connectors work wonders.
