Default Tail Pipe Replacement

Hey Everyone-
Ive had my 2001 gt for a couple years now and the driver side tailpipe rotted out right at the muffler. When I got under the car, I realized that it had an edelbrock exhaust system on it when i bought it. The rest of the system is perfectly fine, now my question is, how do I attach a Stock Tail pipe( 2.25 in) to the edelbrock muffler ( 2.5 in)? Do I have to weld it or is there a way to attach it without welding? Thanks in advance for your help, Josh

You should be able to purchase a 2.25 to 2.5" adapter or connector from any parts store that sells exhaust systems or parts. If that is the answer you are looking for of course. Also, you probably would have to weld the adapter in, I would regardless. Usually, if you take the parts to a metal or mechanical shop, they can weld it in place for a couple bucks.
