Also, if you used a thicker oil, it will take longer for the pressure to build up as the oil will move slower.

Is the oil pump new? If so did you pour oil into it during the build up?
Yeah i did torque it.. Okay so i know that it is not my pick up tube which is awesome. ha and i did pour oil into my pump when i installed it.

I agree with one of the previous posts- you will need to crank a little longer than that. you should have used assembly lube when you built the engine, it wont hurt to crank it a little longer.
I did use asssembly lube when i built it, but it is just scary cranking it that long without it building pressure. I talked to some other guys with the older fox bodies and they said they got pressure in like 2 seconds so i was freaking out and didnt want to crank it too long.

Your probably gonna need to put a battery charger on it and let it sit overnight because it may take that long. I would rather turn a dry engine over and over by the key than have it fire and not get any oil pressure. Just don't sit there for 5 solid minutes and crank as you will eventually begin to build up heat.
Okay today ill try to crank it longer. It is my first build so i kinda scared to crank it that long ha ya knoow

So what im going to do is

1st take off my oil filter and pour oil into it
2nd get a oil pressure sending unit
3rd drain some oil out of my engine (right now i have more then 6 quarts in)
4th Charge my battery somemore
5th Crank it for around 20 seconds and see what i get.

Does that sound like a good idea guys?
