to be safe go to mustang tuning and look at the rear end rebuild kit. i just had 4.10's installed in my 01 GT automatic about a month and a half ago. i have had no problems and they do not whine. i got the motive gears with the master rebuild kit which is like an extra 90 bucks but good insurace for the future. oh and the gains are awesome

Take it to a reputable performance shop in your area. They should have everything you need from gears to shims, etc. Usually if you buy gears from them (more expensive) they'll cut you a break on the install. Don't buy anything until you talk to the shop.

I wouldn't go with Motive. They are divided half and half it seems...half whine half don't
