WTF? Cars stalling

I don't know whats up, Just hopped in my car, cranked it up. It started right up then died, started it up again, it died. As long as i give it gas i can drive it, but once i let of gas the rpms just drop till it kills over. Now i just had an Off Road H-pipe installed 3 days ago, but the check engine like just came on last night due to me not having cats and no mil eliminators. Could this be the problem with the car, as i understood it, it would run but the problem would worsen the longer i drove it, but it ran fine all last night for about 3 hours. I have mil eliminators ordered, just waiting for them to arrive, please tell me i won't have to wait till they arrive to drive my car. Any ideas as to what the problem is.

I had a very similar problem as you a couple months ago. All I did was raise the idle so it would run until I could figure out the problem, but it eventually just stopped and went back to normal. It was weird.

how do i adjust the idle though, i have no idea where to start
even if you could post a picture of a 4.6 engine, and draw an arrow to the screw im supposed to turn (assuming i have to turn a screw, i don't know) anything would help, im searching and searching about where these things are, but finding no pictures that help me

On your t/b, you'll see it, it's the only one of that size. Screw it IN to raise your idle.

Dont do such a foolish thing, replacing or cleaning the IAC will fix the problem. Look at the scenario below copied and pasted from a website:

Question: 1996 Ford Mustang GT V8 mileage: 85,000. I'm at the end of my rope with Ford dealers and my Mustang. Several times every week the car will not start. I'll try to get it to start, but it acts like its not getting fuel. I'll give it fuel, and it will start, then it continually stalls until I get about five miles (this is a guess since the odometer doesn't work either) down the road. I have to give it a constant supply of fuel until it works out its kinks and runs correctly. Several dealers have taken a shot at it. I've been told everything from getting new plug wires (mine are fine) to the IAC Motor needs replaced. One dealer replaced a sensor on the engine, but it started acting up again shortly thereafter. Can you help?

Answer: Your problem is likely the idle air control motor (IAC). Replacing it should fix your stalling

yeah, i read that like an hour ago, i appreciate you trying to help, like i said, i don't want to f*** myself even more trying to fix the problem. but even if i raise my idle, could i not lower it doing the opposite
