Default A Question About Gears.....

i was just curious the difference in gas milage from the stock 3.27 gears, to either 3.55 or 3.73 i know that 3.73 offer way better performance than both and am most likely going to get them but its just a question to see.

You'll probably be around the same, if not a bit better if you stay out of the gas.

But on average people see 1-2mpg drop... Worth it for the performance gain

If you do alot of highway driving your gonna see a drop like 1-2. but if you do alot of city driving it should stay about the same if not gain a tiny bit since the car isn't under such a load when accelerating. Its a hard question to answer since it really depends on how you drive. Your gonna get alot of different answers on this probably. But i agree like said before even if you lose 1-2 its worth the gain to me.

"Man forget the gas, you got a Mustang". This was said to me about a year ago when I posted the same question. I love the feel of the 3.73's but since my car is not a daily driver anymore, I will be installing 4.10's real soon. My advice to you is get the 410.s or you will be like me, redoing a mod....
