Default ALL MY QUESTIONS : )

apparently i was posting on the wrong section, so here is what i need to know, thanx a lot

1) magnaflows... they have to go with x pipe right? Im looking for something that wont be too loud, like the stock sound but a little louder and more trougty <== cant spell worth s**t so magnaflows are the east loud of the exhausts? also i was planning on getting the x-pipe or h-pipe with cats to further muffle the noise. im just really worried about noise cuz when i take people in my car (my old 5.0) it was kinda loud. and i would really be paranoid that they would think it was too loud so for thier sake and for all of humanity i dont want this one too loud. dont get me wrong, i would love for this monster to sound the part but i have to have consideration for the babies

edit: BTW will there be a big diff in noise with equal length over full length? which should i try to get? thanx again people

lol i keep thinking of questions as i ask them

1) i was planning on getting the new cnl performance "true flow upper intake plenum." what do u guys think of this? i was reading that it was worth HP over an allready ported stock plenum, and i dont need to mod to fit bigger throttle bodies.

2)what size trottle body and mass air flow sensor should i get?

3) what is the first thing i should do to my car as far as modding the thing? cuz im still under warranty (obviously) and dont want to **** of the dealer too much (im gonna look into them installing the stuff so as to still be covered by the factory warrenty..... THANX A BUNCH PEOPLE!!!

1)about the exhaust, i just noticed, when looking at pictures of components, that if i run full length headers, i dont seem to be able to have cats... is this true? or can u have cats on a full length header application?

2) ive read good things about certain x-pipes but nothing about magmaflows x-pipes, how do these fair against the competition?

cool, more questions

1)what kind of noise difference would there be between full length and equal length headers? would there be a big performance difference? how far up would it move the power curve? cuz i know that the power would go up the rpm range but doint know how big of an "UP" it would be.\

edit: MORE

1)i just heard all the clips of the mustang exhausts and got really confused. but i just have one question from that. ive heard saleen mustangs on the road before and likes that the exhaust was almost unnoticeble at idle but really woke up as the revs climbed. i would like an exhaust like that! what should i keep in mind, what components do those cars use? and please answer the ?'s above thanx!

I'll cover most the exhaust questions..

I have Magnaflow exhaust, she's pretty tame at idle, and when you rev it up it gets real loud and sounds amazing. You can use an x-pipe or h-pipe with Magnaflows, I don't know where you hear you can only use an x-pipe.. My exhaust is fairly quiet inside, I've never had a problem with people talking, I have a real deep but quiet voice, and I talk real low and nobody has a problem hearing me..but outside of my car..heh she's pretty loud at WOT!!

Long tubes will have a more "full" sound than equal length headers...not much difference in volume.

As far as warranty, technically bolt on mods are fine, when you add a blower or nitrous, you void the warranty.

Aside from blowers & nitrous, as long as you do NOT open up the motor and do mods, you can't void the warranty, unless they determine the parts you added caused the failure. But, how the hell would headers, exhaust...intake, etc blow up your motor?

Talk with your dealership first.

cool man thanx! ill talk to my dealership then. another question

1)i noticed that when i shift from 1st to second, it feels weird. like it doesnt want to go in smoothly. like it goes in but hits a sort of wall, like it hesitates to go in. ive never missed the shift from 1-2 so its not that hard a barrier but it feels weird... like i had this on my 5.0 too... is it just supposed to feel like that? will a shifter work out the kinks? thanx again!

Go with a Steeda Tri Ax. Awsome shifter. It takes out all of the play in the shifts and makes hitting 3rd a breeze

Does it do it all the time, or just when it's cold? I noticed mine did the same thing sometimes (2002 GT), but now that I've put the new shifter in I haven't had that problem (knock on wood).
