Heads/Cams
I know that I want to get a h/c combo. Unfortunately, I don't know what is best for me. I want the best heads with the best flow. Can someone give me some specs that I should look for that would be the very best? Brand?
As far as the cam goes, I want to have the loppy sound at idle. I found a cam that I liked from brother's performance, it was in a magazine. Here's what it says:
"SOHC-Street/Strip, needs 3.73+ gears. 2400+ stall, needs aftermarket intake, exhaust, and computer upgrade. Rough idle.
the specs for it are:
valve setting- both say Hyd.
rpm operating range - 2200-6200
cam grinder number XE278AH
Duration (advertised) - in. 278/ex. 282 (@ .50") in. 242/ex. 246
valve lift (with 1.6 rocker) - in. .550/ex. .550
lobe separation angle - 113 degrees
price - 599.99
sorry if i gave some info I didnt need to type, but I want to make it clear. When I get this installed, I will also be getting a forged rotating assembly installed along with 3.73/3.90 gears, headers, and an x pipe.
THanks a lot guys!

RE: Heads/Cams
you want a lopy idle? you have the wrong car. get a pushrod and a solid cam. Ive heard code3GT car and even with a 601 lift the car doesnt sound "lopy" now inside the car it shakes like the dickens. but you want that trailor queen lope your gonna need a trailor queen engine.

It's true. Nothing beats the sound of a cammed pushrod motor. But, I really like the sound of mine. For a daily driver 2V 4.6, it has a nice lope. For heads check out VT, Fox Lake Racing or MPH.
