Default Intake Manifold Question

Whats going on guys..? Im new to the site and pretty much new to mustangs. I was wondering if someone couldnt help me out with a problem.. I picked up a 98 GT 5spd today with a cracked intake manifold for a decent price. I have a buddy with a 04 2v GT with a 1.7 (I believe) Kenne Bell installed on it which in turn has provided me a nice clean non-cracked intake to put on my car.

Problems:

Two things i found out today 1) The bottom of the 04 intake is larger than the older intake thus bumping into the hard coolant pipe running through the intake valley and 2) there is not a threaded hole for what looks to be some sort of heat sensor up near the thermostat (theres only one sensor on the new car intake as where there is two on the older one). To remedy the sensor problem i lelieve i can just drill and tap a hole for the extra one and be on my way... Someone correct me if im wrong. As for the coolant pipe and the extra length on the intake mani.. im at a loss . Anybody have any insight?

thanks
stan

You have to buy a 99-04 coolant return pipe or make one out of heater hose. Just tap the crossover for the sensor. You also have to modify the gasket I think.
