Default procharger reliability

Ok so i've heard that prochargers tend to leak oil, has this issue been fixed with them? anyone that has had one have any problems?

They only leak when the seal gets worn out. If you buy the procharger 3pack of oil they give you a new dipstick seal. Mine only leaked when I first got it and reused the old seal. I changed the oil twice since then with the same seal and it hadn't leaked since. This was on a P1SC.

They are more reliable than a vortech. There is a reason why you see more vortech head units and fewer procharger units for sale.

Its pretty common knowledge. At least around here..

Vortech = Less reliable BUT always perform better

Procharger = More reliable BUT typically perform worse than a vortech unit.

I had a procharger for 2 years and it worked out great. I did have a leak that needed to be fixed by procharger early on in the blower's life, but it was fairly cheap for them to go through the whole thing and rebuild it. Never leaked after that.
