most productive CAI

Most of the "name brand" cai are going to make numbers pretty close to each other, and i doubt the buttdyno could tell you the difference. I think its more of an aestetic preference thing.
No guarantees on ebay special cai's, but theyre probably pretty close to.

Well, with a tune youre probably going to lean it out a bit and bump the timing tables for 93. You could do a tune on a stock engine and feel a difference.
So. Aside from eliminating flow restrictions, a cold air intake does as it says and lowers the incoming air temps, the computer sees this and it bumps the timing a bit more. A tune would (basically) bump it that much more.

Just buy a K & N or Spectre replacement filter and drop it in the stock CAI. I doubt you'll feel any difference between this setup and replacing the CAI pipe along with the filter.
If you want looks to then buy the entire CAI.

+ 1 K&N. I was going to buy the flashy BBK CAI but was told by a advid mustang man that K&N would perform a tad bit better than the BBK (not much). Reason was, the BBK CAI is made of aluminum or steel (one or the other). k&n is plastic and reacts better to heat making for a better CAI. Hope that helps.. But I concur with everyone else. You want drop a sec off your 1/4 mile or feel a pin back to your seat feel. I bought mine off ebay about a year ago for half the price of other dealers and haven't had any issues yet....
