Yeah I could possibly see like I said earlier $600.00 for parts and labor. If the install is $600.00 the gears and neccassary parts will be close to $300.00 with tax and everything added, you're talking close to a $1000.00. For gear install that's crazy!

On a high mileage stang (120k+) while you were in there might as well do new axle bearings/seals, lsd clutches, basically full rear end rebuild. Then youre talking probably close to 1000 with parts and all.

Agreed its way too much. Ive just heard shops charging that much.
one shop around quoted me for ****ing 900 just labor. i laughed and asked why? he was confused on me being shocked

One of you guys posted that a gear install would be $600.00. Man that is to much for a gear install. Does that include parts and labor? My install at a speed shop here in Missouri was a $250.00.

To my man who started this thread, I agree with the other guys mos def if auto-410's and also a tuner.
I know I know, I hate to be a jerk but seriously how many threads are there like this exact one?

Me? Not too much on my ol' 94 5.0. Headers, catted x, flows, tb spacer, underdrive pullies, and a 93 oct tune.

Hey that's a start and it takes time and patience. This time last year all I had was a CAI system and flows.
