I see, i'd just already answered the question a couple replies ago, the other poster had indicated he'd seen several of both and that he wanted to know what I could see that he couldn't.

An easy way would be to check out some of the ebay listings for used lincoln engines, those pictures will show several differences (continental vs mkviii). I've only ever fooled with the MKVIII version myself.

Well not to be beating a dead horse but as I and many others have mentioned it is from a 93-96 Mark VIII. I know because I put a 96 Mark VIII engine in my 68 mustang. If it were from a Continental the coil pack would be mounted at the rear of the engine and they are clearly on the front in the picture. They changed the intake on the mark in 97. If you want to get a lot of good info on this swap check out the modular fords forum. The have a forum just for modular conversion. Here is a link to a guys thread that has already done the conversion on a 53 F100. http://www.modularfords.com/forums/s...d.php?t=109763 And here is a pic of the motor installed in a 63 .
Everyone says to switch to the cobra intake but personally I think the Mark VIII intake looks pretty badass polished up and if you're not making a drag car the performance hit isn't worth worrying about.

i love the polished look of the marks intake. ive also seen it powder coated in a metallic candy apple red and it was incredable im thinking about doing one of the 2 on my mark VIII. on another note the marks intake was designed for big automatic cars to keep the power/tq where the auto trans could best use it.
