Default Differential knock?

ey guys, yesterday as i was driving home from work, i went around a corner at maybe 10 mph, and my differential started knocking. almost like the sound of a flat tire. when i start going faster, the it knocks faster....

i took it into a local shop and they checked it out for free and said 1 of three things ould be wrong, my differential could be bad, someone put the wrong fluid in it, or it could be a transmission problem... i feel no vibrations or grinding...

has anyone had this happen? the shop said they cant look at it and recommended me take it to a transmission shop.... if someone put the wrong oil in, would it be as simple as putting the right oil in? or does that mean something is damaged?

Sounds like your clutches are going out. Change the fluid and add friction modifier and see if it gets better.

+1 sounds a lot like the clutches are toast.

I've actually never seen someone blow their spider gears but i know it does happen, I've seen ring/pinions fail.
