Squeeking noise, but stops when slight pressure is applied to clutch
there is a squeeking noise that has progressivly gotten worse at idle it comes from the back of the motor area and the other day i noticed when any kind of pressure is applied to the clutch it goes away. even resting my foot on the clutch pedal. what would cause this?

TOB. Time for an upgrade. Spec Stage II (regardless of what some may say about the TOB provided by spec, I'm satisfied) or Centerforce DF. If you really want a clutch that you can't destroy, www.clutch-shop.com or give them a call.

if my TOB is going does that mean my clutch is more than likely going also? honeslty i'm trying to sell the car because i want a termi. but at the same time i don't want to sell the car if i know the TOB is going and screw someone so what is a good price quality clutch. two words that shouldn't be put together cheap and quality i know but. i don't want to dump money into it if i'm going to sell it.

like when i push the clutch in all the way i hear a like very light maybe grinding noise maybe to explain it. mech. said it was the TOB. but i dunno i just don't want to my clutch to go out or the TOB to go out and lock up the tranny

TOB's are notorious to go out on these cars!
I bought my car with 66k on the odometer and the TOB was bad. The dealer had a new one installed, and I had a new clutch and aluminum flywheel put in as well. One year later and 5000 miles the TOB is bad again!
If you push the clutch in lightly it goes away. I was told to buy a clutch adjuster (Steeda is supposed to have the best one).
Supposedly it won't damage anything, but it will be annoying. If you need to push the clutch in too much, then the adjuster wouldn't work for you because at that point your clutch would always be engaged. Mine goes away if you barely apply pressure to the clutch so it will work for me.
