question on Gear swap...
i might be buying 3.55 gears from someone cuz i found a good price... on AM it shows an installation kit and a master bearing kit... will i need any of these because i will be taking it to a friend who is a master tech and can do anything with a car... i just need to know cuz ihavent talked to him yet about it... thanks guys....

You might as well buy the installation kit, new seals and bearings is never a bad idea when you get into something, especially when they aren't expensive. If you are stepping up from 3.27 to 3.55, you wont notice a huge difference, they better be cheap, and your friend better give you a good deal on labor or it might not be money well spent.

Didn't 97's have 2.90 something gears or am I wrong?
Yeah I just looked it up they had standard 2.73s that could have been upgraded to 3.08 or 3.27...so maybe he has 3.27, I don't know. Could have 2.73 though.
