Default Spec stg 3

Installed it last nite but unfortunately it was raining when i installed it and all day today so havent really had a chance to drive the car yet. 2 questions, ive heard they are chattery but does it get better after the break in period, and how many people run a spec stage 3 with the factory quadrant and cable?

Mine was REALLY rough starting out. Ended up being PERFECTLY smooth and I could not have been happier with it. I installed a quadrant and adjuster, but used the stock cable. Worked fine for me!

K thanx i will probably do the same as ive heard of people having problems with aftermarket cables.

Man when i pulled it out of the shop i was like **** i hope this thing calms down after awhile. i know its adjusted properly with the factory mechanism so i jus figure thats the nature of a stage 3 clutch.

I have a stage two and there is very little slippage, its a little harder to start out from a stop sign in town now, I am very happy with it though. I also change the quadrant and added an adjuster. I dont have any chatter though. I didnt want that crazy of a clutch since its my DD and only sees the track in the summer a handful of times.

I also have a stage 3. It does chatter when your creepin around un less you rev it a little higher but i love it. I put a steeda quad, firwall, & cable in er'. Runs like a champ

+1...chatter is starting to be less and less frequent. Reverse is a little worse than pulling out (due to the lower RPMs). Catches REALLY well compared to my old Mcleod at the price of being a little less civilized around town .

Definitely get an aftermarket quadrant and adjuster, stick with Steeda on that
