Default 04 Converting Auto to 5-speed, T-45?

I'm in the process of converting my 04 Auto gt to a 5-speed but I haven't been able to find any wrecked 2001-2004 cars in junkyards around here yet (to snag a T-3650). Would a '99-'00 T-45 work? I'm just not sure about it because I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to drop in the computer from the car i take the transmission from and I heard that the speedo may be different in 99-00 cars.

Also, if I DO find a 3650 car, can I just flash my computer at a dealer or would I need to gank the car's computer and drop that in mine?

Finally, if anyone knows somebody who has converted a 94-04 from auto to 5-speed, who may be willing to share any information, or even a website with tips, that would be teriffic

Thanks

good luck finding someone.. people post on here for help with this topic and it seems that no one knows too much about it... just keep the auto... itd be easier... or you could always sell ur mustang for another like it with the 3650 tranny in it...

Well I have a friend who is was a mechanic at an opel dealership in Germany, and he can do about anything, and it is actually his idea to do it for me. He just asked me to do some research and I thought I could keep my options open if a t-45 would work.

It's a pain and it's expensive. Better to buy a 5 speed car. I did it on a 99 gt. Don't use a T45. If you're going to do it, here's the best step by step I've seen:

Don't buy a 3650 on eBay! We can get you a pull transmission with less than 500 miles on it, or sell you an upgraded 3650 that will take more torque and horsepower than stock. We have a few fresh pulls in stock and can build whatever you need if you plan to hit it with crazy power. Shipping is free on orders placed by Christmas, and we have flywheels, clutches and all sorts of cool stuff to help with your swap if you need it. AP
