Or take years off my engine this is the first time i got it up that fast seemed like once I hit 95-100 It wanted to go faster and the needle went so fast after 100
I did this with the o/d off and on. Is my GT been dogged now?

Let me guess, you're one of those guys who "feels" something different in his engine on particular days, or hears strange sounds every now and then and thinks his engine is going to fall apart...
I'm the same way. Your engine will be fine, that is as long as you do it's regular maintenance. Like dan said, it's probably thanking you for stretching it's legs.

I seriously think you caused internal damage. Studies have shown a consistent 10-20 psi drop in compression after a car has been run over 100mph. They same wear and tear didn't occur under triple digits though.

Its not the speed, its the rpm, as long as you dont dip into the reline to long/often your fine. Keep up with the maintainance and everything will be honkey dorey. If 117mph kills Mustangs then I think 3/4 of the people on this board (including myself) would be looking for new cars. You only did what your Mustang was made for.

I go 100+ all day everyday for 2 years now.. I have a very heavy foot no matter what mood I'm in and when i'm drunk its worse.. I have tacked out on my speedometter at 150 and heard my engine still climbing.. My bitch is still running like a champ.. Needs work all the time but runs damn good.
