Default Bad Resistor for A/C and Heat.

I guess I have a bad resistor for my A/C and heat so they only work on maximum setting and not the lower ones.

Anyone know wat resistor I need and how to replace it? I'm not paying Ford $140 to do it.

Any autoparts store will have the resistor, if you look straight up at the glovebox hinge you'll see the resistor just a bit forward of the hinge--it has a light brown phenolic baseplate and is held in with two hex-head machine screws.

Mine does the same thing, level 1 and 2 nothing, then level 3 and 4 the fan works fine.

Could someone post a link or part number that's needed to fix this?

Is it in the dead center, and with wires/plug in the center of it?

I would make sure you do get it changed though. My resistor was out on my GP for awhile and it ended up burning out the blower motor because the fan was always on high.
