But yet there is, a lot of us dont use Synthetic Oil for the massive power difference. We use it to protect and because it doesn't break down as easy. Its more of a piece of mind. We love our cars and want the best for them.

I like running Synthetic blend Mobile 1. Might change over but I change mine every 3,000 with no problems. Once I upgrade more, she'll be on Synthetic but for now she only has 4,900 miles on her! and shes an 03!

synthetic blend is a rip off. It is only 4-15 percent synthetic.. you might as well buy one bottle of synthetic and 4 of crap..you'd get better results.

thats complete BS. ive run almost EVERYTHING in my stang, mobile 1, royal purple, amsoil, castrol syntech, redline, napa dino oil, mobile 7500, quakerstate syn blend, Cam 2, valvoline etc, ive had no problems what so ever running the cheap stuff for the last ~15k after switching back from synthetic. and dino oil is $2 a quart vs ~$8 for a full synthetic.

dino oil/motorcraft filter every ~3k ftw

Early synthetic oils had a bad rap. The seal-swell characteristics of the new synthetics were different then the dino oil. If it was lower the seals shrank and oil would leak from the crankshaft seals and rocker cover seals, if it was higher the seals would swell and the engine was tight. If you would change back to dino then things would get bad. The engine would leak every where. Todays synthetics have change this and are made to a superior quality.
