Default Mustangs & Fast Fords Magazine

Anyone check out the article on the 4.6 build? Pretty impressive, a built 4.6 stroker managed 430hp NA. That is what I like to see...to bad they don't come stock with those numbers.

There is also an interesting write up on the a new intake manifold...supposed to be better then the PI, plus it looks pretty sweet. I forget the name of it at the moment...

What was it stroked to? I woulda thought they could get closer to 100 hp/liter than that, but that is pretty damn impressive.

they may have if they used a big bore kit instead of a stroker

The stroker wasn't worth it...it really wasn't. The only gain was 30hp going to a 5.0 from the factory 4.6. That is a lot more work for only 30hp...

yea it is. look at the torque gains, especially down low, where the 4.6 needs help. the gains are awesome.

Yea...torque was improved, but I thought there would be much bigger improvement then that...I mean you are gaining almost half a liter of displacement.
