ORIGINAL: The Great Cornholio

It still worked when I just tried it, but try this. Go to www.mach1registry.org and open the Technical Q&A, HOW TO's, TSB's, & Warranty Items forum. TSB 03-8-3 regarding incorrect oil level markings on the dipstick is there among numerous other TSBs.
I can get up to the page and click on the link but it wont load, can u copy and paste it on here please?

The difference is the oil pan.

1999-2002 Crown Victoria & Mustangs take 5 qts.

1998-2005 F150 with 4.2, 4.6, or 5.4 take 6.5qts. I am not sure about the earlier mustangs, but it sounds like they have the same capacities as the trucks.

Sounds like some people have the deeper oil pans and/or the wrong stick.

This discussion has come up before. My '96 took 6 quarts, even had an adendum(sp?) to the manual stating it took six compared to what the manual stated (5 quarts). My 2000 states it takes 5, and it only took 5 to fill it. I dunno.... anything over 6 I would consider WAY too much.
