Default oil dipstick

I did an oil change today and it ended up taking 6.5 qts to get it to the full mark on the stick, then we did my buddies gt same yr and everything and his only took 5 to get it to the full mark, so we compared dipsticks and mine is shorter (i know this sounds gay), my question is could this be right? do i have the wrong size dipstick? how many qts is my car supposed to take? thanks

Mine takes 6.5 too. It's just more oil to run better.

It still worked when I just tried it, but try this. Go to www.mach1registry.org and open the Technical Q&A, HOW TO's, TSB's, & Warranty Items forum. TSB 03-8-3 regarding incorrect oil level markings on the dipstick is there among numerous other TSBs.
