Default Brakes 'siezing' up?

Did a search, couldn't find anything.

Having a problem with the front brakes. They're acting as though there's constantly a bit of pressure being applied. I replaced the pads a couple weeks ago, and compressing the piston was pretty difficult (master cylinder lid was off). The amount of pressure is random as well. Most days it's slight, sometimes it's considerable, rarely none at all. But at the end of my 7mi commute to work, I can sometimes smell the brakes, and the disc is always very hot.

I plan to upgrade to Cobra brakes sometime next year, but certainly want the car to survive to that mod. Suggestions here? Merely flush the brake system? Do the calipers need an overhaul?

Are the pads in the right way?

First off, how old is the car?? What color is the fluid?? Are there any blue spots or discoloration of the rotors?? What about and visible cracks on the rotors??

Also, is there slack in your brake pedal?? What about the rear brakes?? Have you considered it may be the rears instead?? Also, what is the condition of the rubber line for the front brakes??

-1999 Mustang GT.
-Color fluid unsure, last checked it was dark red. I'll have to check that again.
-No discoloration on the discs.
-No visible cracks on the discs.
(I can feel/hear a very slight warp to the discs, but not enough to cause this type of issue. The resistance feels constant, not fluctuating from the warp.)
-No slack in the brake pedal, feels normal.
-I am assuming it's the front brakes only, tested by touching the discs after some driving. Fronts were steaming hot, rears were just warm.
-Unsure of the rubber lines up front. There are no leaks, though, as the fluid level's remained consistent.

Could be the piston seals went south so the cylinders/pistons were able to rust or the flex lines that go to calipers could have collapsed inside.

It is the calipers. I had the same problem. I Replaced the calipers with new stock ones and the problem was gone.

+1 now would be the perfect time. When brakes are dragging it is almost always bad calipers or bad brake hose.
