Default rod bearings

I have a 2001 mustang gt and had a knock in my moter and it turned out to be a rod bearing. The rods look good and don't look like they spun but the crank is damaged.I bought another crank that was the standard size and wasn't sure what type of bearings to get and should i replace my main bearings. Also do i want bi metal or tri metal bearings

Are you using stock internal? Any poishing done to the crank?

ALso, why not just buy a stock long block?

If you bought a new crank, you'll need new bearings to go with it. I always use Clevite 77 bearings.

The real question is, Why?
