Default Dropping the Tranny

I have a leak that appears to be from the rear main oil seal. I have a week off from work at the end of January and plan on dropping the tranny to replace that seal and install a new King Cobra clutch. Could you guys tell me what else would be wise to do while I have it dropped?

Thanks in advance.

Replacing the throw out bearing and pilot bushing would be a good idea.

+1. also possibly resurface or replace flywheel depending on its condition and put some white lithium grease on the ball stud and input shaft sleeve.

Thanks for the replies.

Also, where can I get the best deal on a King Cobra clutch?

I would certainly resurface the flywheel. Most of the time companies make a clutch kit that will come with a replacement TOB and pilot bushing.

Good luck. Just take your time.

You can get the clutch kits on ebay pretty cheap.
