RE: new clutch
What does it mean to have the flywheel resurfaced? I have the Year One parts catalog and it says cars equipped with a 10" clutch will need the "appropriate" flywheel. Is the stock clutch 10"?

RE: new clutch
I would highly recommend the King Cobra Clutch Kit!!!! The problem with it is it comes with a standard throwout bearing but the clutch is a beast i swear.. I do WOTs all the time the clutch is fine my throwout bearing is whining..
I posted a question in "Transmission Question about wether or not the centerforce throwout bearing will work on any other clutch..
OO and getting the flywheel machined or "re-surfaced" is just a thing that has to be done when changing clutch. Don't worry its like 45$$$ not bad at all..

RE: new clutch
I think they stopped using the 10in 87?
88's are 10.5 and same spline as 10" (10 spline) if I am not mistaken.
I had an 85 with a 10" clutch and I machined the 10.5" pressure plate bolt pattern into the stock flywheel and used a 10.5 clutch.
Drove it 200k + after that.
