Default Nailed curb bad vibration

I hit a damn curb the other day. I was going fairly slow just pulling up to a house and I was distracted looking for the house number and I hit the curb. When I hit it it actually sounded like I hit the rim on the curb because it had that type of metal striking something sound but..no scratches at all on the rim. hadn't driven in it in a few days and got it up to about 65 this morning and it vibrates BAD. So what do you guys think...did I bend the axle or something?

You might have just bent the rim. Just jack it up and shake the tire left to right, then up and down (very slightly), everything should be tight.

If it is, take the wheel off and try to get it rebalanced. Anyone who balances tires should see if its bent when they try to rebalance it.

If it is a bent rim, can that be fixed or would I need a new rim?

if you cant afford a new rims you could TRY to somewhat fix it buy removing the tire and taking a hammer to the part thats pushed in but that normally only works on the cheap steel rims.

I'm assuming it is a rear tire you hit because you mentioned an axle as a possibility for what's wrong?

No it's the front right tire. I guess I meant tie rod, not axle. Anyways, upon further inspection I scratched the hell out of that rim. I didn't notice anything bent though. Guess I'll take it in and see what the verdict is.

oh that makes a difference. There are a lot more variables when it's a front wheel because of all the suspension there. I would do the easy stuff first and get the wheel checked out.
