I totally agree!! Thats why I went out and bought my own scanner. One guy tried reading the code off my computer without turning my car on. Stupid goobers.

Legally (Fed EPA) they cannot clear the code for any emissions related DTC, unless they are actually doing the repair.

I understand that in Dade county FL (Miami) they can't even read the codes; the local repair guys pushed an ordinance that businesses that do not do repairs cannot read/reset any codes.
