2002-2004 Mustang GT/Mach 1 dyno info
Im looking for some dyno numbers for mostly stock 2002-2004 mustang GT's and Mach 1s. Also 1/4 times if available. I currently own a 98 Z28 but i have always loved mustangs so im going to take a look at a few for a new ride

Its a 98 ls1 A4, it put down 316 rwhp, 319 rwtq with just a lid and exhaust. Im looking for a mustang that can keep up with it thats fairly stock(not sure if 2003+ cobras are the only way). I see that the 02-04 mach 1s are rated at 305 hp and 320 tq. Im not familiar to good with mustangs so are these legit numbers?. I raced a 2003 black gt with intake, exhaust, and a 75 wet shot and he stuck with me thats all i really know about the speed of a 02-04 mustang gt, nothing about mach 1's.

The Mach 1 is what you want, or a cobra if you can afford it. mach 1's dyno around 275-280 rwhp and since they pretty much have a cobra motor without the supercharger, they respond pretty well to mods with maybe intake, tune..throttlebody and headers you could see 300 rwhp maybe more im not sure. its a mid/low 13 second ride where the GT's are low 14 and if your a good driver a 13.8 or 9 will pop up. i recommend looking at mach 1's and 99-01 cobras, seems like thats what you want

+1. You want the Mach if you want to stay competitive with your current ride. Machs are underrated, making 325 hp at the crank. Most put down 275-280rwhp stock. 300rwhp is obtainable with a mid-pipe, cat-back, drop in filter, (CAI don't do much for Machs), and an intake spacer. Of course, tuning maximizes those mods. I'm on my second Mach. My first one is in the bottom of my sig. It ran a 13.4 at 105 stock. Once modded, I couldn't get out of the 13s because traction was such an issue with the 4.10s. You can see by the trap speed that it definitely had high 12 second capability, maybe mid 12s with slicks. My current Mach 1 is an automatic, but has already run a 13.34 at 105 mph with only a catted X-Pipe. Machs mod very well and are pretty much a drivers race with an LS1. If you want a stang, go with the Mach, IMO. Machs and GTs go for about the same price anyway. I picked mine up for a little over $15k with 24k miles on it.
